You are a Southern Belle, what was it like growing up where women with curves are celebrated? Growing up in Alabama, It wasn't unusual to see women shaped like myself. Even the women who were more on the smaller side had hips and a little booty on em. I don't know what's in the water around here.
And how does it compare to your experiences in the industry?
It is absolutely the same. The ridicule, the hate, the praise, the attention. It's a blessing and a curse.
How do you feel about young ladies augmenting their features artificially to compete ?(surgery etc.)
It's like bringing a gun to a fist fight. It give us natural women a bad name. The time I could be spending networking and growing my fan base, I have to spend defending whether my body is real or not because these 'plastics' have muddied the waters to the point where people can't see the truth anymore. The game can't go anywhere but downhill for the simple fact that all of the women that are thinking about entering this industry will assume that you have to have a 36-25-50 measurement to make it big and take drastic measures to do so. Being pretty isn't enough anymore. Being yourself isn't an option anymore. It's sad; not to mention its unhealthy. However, it makes me work even harder to prove to them that all of the 'extra' that they put into making us 'naturals' seem obsolete is hopeless. They won't win.

On my website, I do weekly updates. From never before seen photos to videos from the behind the scenes of my photo shoots and of me dancing around...no telling what you will see on those videos! Gotta join to see for yourself. www.theemilyexperience.com
Outside of modeling and your website what are your interests?
I have my hands in so much now, I don't remember what I used to do for fun anymore. I write for other magazines, Editor-In-Chief of two other print publications, working on my own publications, work for other websites, not to mention the networking...I'll have fun in a few years when I can sit back and watch my money make money.
1. How were you discovered?
MySpace. Money Moses of www.royalthickness.com
told me to build a portfolio, find a professional photographer and network. I did just that. On the modeling networking site, a then up-and-coming magazine, Skintones Magazine asked for photos and before I knew it, I was published. The rest is history.
2. What inspired you to pursue modeling?
I never planned on doing this. It just...fell into my lap. My fans inspire me to stay in the game though.
3. You have an outstanding hourglass figure, where do the curves come from?
I've been shaped like this since I was little. I remember hearing at least once a week while I was growing up; "You are gonna have trouble with this one." or "She got those hips!" and "Look at that booty and those thighs!" So, I'll blame it on my genes and the Collard greens, Cornbread, Pig Feet, Sweet Tea. I just do what I need to do to maintain and keep it this way now.
4. Which of your features attract the most attention?
It varies. Everyone has their personal favorite, but you'd be surprised. Walk up on me from behind, it's the booty. People who see me from the front first compliment my smile. When they walk by me and look back...then...
5. What do you enjoy most about your work?
The gratification that my fans get. If they are happy and my fan base grows then I am doing something right.
6. What are some of your credits ?
It's a looooong list. Google me.
7. Tell us some of your long term goals....
It's simple. I don't want to ever have to work anymore by the time I turn 28. So, I am working hard right now to make sure my name is established so it makes its own money. Modeling, writing, my publications. I want 'Emily Camille' to be associated among various entities so I can take the time to be a wife and a mommy and be there for my family.
8. Do you have any tattoos or piercings?
Belly button and ears pierced. No tattoos.
9. Your beauty can easily be intimidating, but what does it take for you to be intimidated?
No one intimidates me, but God.
10.People would be surprised to know that you_______________________?
I am an artist. I draw. If you are my friend on MySpace, I think there are still portraits up there...
11.Your idea of relaxing is ?
Peace and quiet. I am one of those 'don't speak unless spoken to' type woman so, I don't talk unless I have to. That's all I need.
12.You've got front row tickets to see your favorite artist. Who is it and why?
I am a HUUUUGE neo-soul fan, so put Maxwell on stage and there is no telling what I may or may not do.
13.Your favorite getaway spot?
Anywhere with sun and water. I'm a simple woman.
14.How does Hip Hop music impact your daily life and your work? Whats your favorite song of the moment?
I work here so I have to deal with it. I don't let it affect me; positively or negatively. I come in, do my job and get out. My favorite song of the moment...I love B.o.B. right now but when I feel like actin' up in the club, there are several underground/independent artists I'm feeling; PapaDuck and Bizzle. Mainstream; Jeezy and Rick Ross.
15.What are your turnons?
intelligence, dreads, a man's back, the way he walks or smells.
16.What are your turnoffs?
17.What's the craziest thing a fan has done to get your attention?
I don't know where to begin. My fans don't know where the 'happy medium' is. Its either extreme or nothing. Showing up to my home, showing up at the store that I'm in and buying anything I want, sending flowers, money...I had to stop all of that. I've learned that if you take one thing from them that you are forever indebted to them. Had one guy said he would kill himself if I didn't respond. Sooooo, the online support is enough!
18.Who is your favorite co-worker? And name someone you would love to work with?
I work alone, but I show love to everyone who is serious about this game. I will be working with @LMDAFOXX and @RozinaZira at the end of June. Follow them on Twitter.
19.The most sensual thing you've ever done?
I make sure everything I do when it comes to 'that' is to the point where they will compare everyone to me and what I did to them.
20.What should we expect to see you doing in the near future? If you see Emily Camille anywhere in this industry, it's me. I have lots lined up for y'all
